"Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" to take over minibus routes No. 206, 244 and 271on August 12
Rīgas satiksme informs that the timetables of the above routes, as well as the ticket price, 50 santims, will not be changed. It should be also noted that e-tickets will be also valid in all minibuses, which will enable a precise accounting of passengers.
As of August 16 there will be minor changes in minibus route 206, particularly near the terminal in Prāgas Street on the way to the city centre. Now, instead of turning to the left from 13th January Street to Prāgas Street, minibuses will turn from 13th January Street to Gogoļa Street, Turgeņeva Street, Maskavas Street, Centrāltirgus Street and Prāgas Street.
At the same time, it should be emphasised that none of the discounts granted by Riga City Council will be effective in minibuses, and pupils, students, pensioners and disabled persons of group 3 will have to buy tickets at full price. The only exception is those passengers entitled to the discounts granted by the state. i.e. disabled persons of groups 1 and 2, disabled persons under the age of 18 years, as well as persons accompanying disabled persons of group 1 or disabled persons under the age of 18 years.
It’s planned that the takeover of the remaining minibus routes will be finished in 2013.
